My favorite costume was a genie costume that my mom made for herself in the 70's and I wore several times growing up. It even had a little hat that looked like Genie on I Dream of Genie!

I remember dressing up as Casper the Friendly Ghost and a Native American Girl. I think my favorite was a princess costume my mother made for me when I was 8.

My mom bought these second hand old lady clothes and a shower cap. put my hair in curlers and painted wrinkles all over my face. I even had glasses. She used her imagination and I was really cute!

My fave costume was the handmade poodle skirt and cardigan my mom made. Costume Heck I wore that outfit all the time. Definitely born in the wrong time frame.

My favorite costume growing up was when I dressed up as Pippi Longstocking! :) A friend of my mom's helped fix my braids so that they sorta stood out at the sides.

I love the costume kingdom. Just an idea, you can find e-card at Happy Halloween 2009 for halloween. This site allows for anyone to upload their own picture so they can send it out to friends and family with a message as a greeting on Halloween.

I didn't necessary want to have a certain costume when I was a kid. What I wanted was a store bought costume! We ALWAYS had to make our own costumes and I longed for a costume like all of my friends had.
Now I look back and I'm so grateful to my mom for making us come up with a good idea, then using all of our own creativity to make it work. I understand completely where she was coming from and I'm finding myself doing the same thing with my kids! They're too little to make their own now, so I'd love a costume from Costume Kingdom!
